It’s that time of year again: Onion Days! I started off the day bright and early running the city sponsored 5k. I haven’t been running as much at home, so I was pleasantly surprised at my time (29:51, 6 minutes faster than a year ago!) They printed out a cool little card for us to show our pace and placement. Payson, you rock.
Then we hit the parade, which was slightly more boring than last year, or maybe I’m just getting older?
Uncle Kevin spreads the love with cookies
Then we hit the carnival. Deacon can’t get enough of this ride!
Evan called it quits after the parade and missed all the rides
Another sign that I’m getting old? That merry-go-round went really fast!
We saw some friends and neighbors (my mom’s good friend Michelle)
We slept over at Grandpa’s
And the next day Deacon started preschool!

You're in the 30-34 age group! I saw that and thought, "she's that old?!" then I remembered I'm 32. What the heck?! I always think my default age is 26. Good job on the race.
I too thought the parade was more boring this year. But maybe it's because I've seen it 3 times already (SF, Salem and Santaquin). Yeah...we can't miss a south Utah county parade!
Now Fall is practically here!
great time on your run.... and you said you aren't a runner.
Good ol' onion days. One day I'm going to make it down there.
Looks like so much fun. I am jealous of the rides, how awesome for the kids. Deacon looks like he loves preschool!!
What a champ you are Melissa!!! 11th of the women! wahoo!
I love how you played and enjoyed the last day of summer and then sadly let Deacon go to school. Way to soak up as much summer as possible!
Way to be speedy, GIRL! So impressed.
And I have to tell you I laughed so hard that tears came to my eyes when I read Terry's comment about "those bloggers." Our husbands are seriously a match made in H.E.A.V.E.N. When are we going to get together again?!
